During the 2025 Summer Game Fest, Bandai Namco revealed Code Vein II, a sequel to the publisher’s anime-style action RPG game. According to the trailer presented during Summer Game Fest, the title will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
“If time were a weapon to wield, could you undo the sins of ruin? Bound By Blood, Revenants gather once more – CODE VEIN II is coming in 2026,” the trailer description reads.
The trailer revealed on June 6, 2025, was the first reveal of the title; little gameplay was revealed. Instead of focusing on gameplay, Bandai Namco opted to present a cinematic teaser, where the player character enters what appears to be a time-traveling portal, teleporting the player to a realm prior to the apocalypse that plagued the universe of the first game.
Code Vein plays similarly to a souls-like, prioritizing stamina management alongside dodge rolling to outmaneuver the enemy. Reports indicate the original Code Vein sold 3 million copies as of March 2023. Code Vein originally released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.
