Pragmata First Contact was officially revealed during PlayStation’s State of Play livestream, an event that occurred on June 4, 2025. The Capcom-published title is slated to release sometime in 2026 and takes place in a dystopian future. Whether or not the game is a PlayStation exclusive has not been officially revealed or confirmed.

The trailer largely focused on the lore surrounding the in-game universe, highlighting the game’s visuals through cinematic cut scenes. Snipbits of gameplay mechanics were teased as well, including the partner mechanic, which utilizes the female adolescent’s powers. 

“Travel to a dystopian near-future and explore a unique lunar world. Lose yourself in a brand-new sci-fi action adventure game from Capcom, the creators of Resident Evil and Devil May Cry,” Pramata’s official PlayStation Store listing reads.

Pragmata has yet to be rated, and no price point or exact release date has been listed on the official PlayStation store.
