- Elden Ring Nightreign director Junya Ishizaki revealed that he has solo’d every boss in the game.
- He added that he did not use any relic to defeat them, saying that it’s very possible.
- The game was released on May 29, 2025, and has already sold more than 3.5 million copies.
Elden Ring Nightreign director Junya Ishizaki revealed that he has solo’d every boss in the game without any relic. Ishizaki made this statement during an interview with CNET, discussing his experience in developing the game.
“I’ve seen everything it has to offer, both in multiplayer and as a solo player. So I want you and players to know that this is very possible, and I want you to have the confidence to give it a try yourself,” Ishizaki said in the interview. The interviewer even asked him to clarify whether he’s actually solo’d all the bosses, and he replied, “Yes. And without relics.”
The interview also delved into the development of the game, essentially asking Ishizaki mechanics and features that were removed from the game before launch. Ishizaki mentioned that at some point in development, there was fall damage. However, it was quickly removed.
Another feature that was removed was multiple maps. According to the director, instead of the changes that occur during each gameplay session, the game was supposed to have different maps that change per session. The current one implemented in the game is just one map with changes happening to it while the play session progresses.
Elden Ring Nightreign was released on May 29, 2025. The game has sold more than 3.5 million copies as of writing, and has achieved an all-time peak of more than 313,000 concurrent players on Steam. The developers have recently lowered the difficulty level of solo mode in the game.
