Sony is expected to launch its annual Days of Play sale on Wednesday, May 28, with price cuts for PlayStation hardware, including the first-ever discount on the PlayStation 5 Pro. The event and the upcoming hardware price reduction were reported by a well-known French leaker, Billbil-Kun, who has accurately predicted previous PlayStation announcements and promos.
According to the report, the PS5 Pro will be discounted by €50 in Europe, bringing its price down to €749.99 from the original €799.99. Standard PS5 models are also set to receive price cuts; PS5s with a disc drive are expected to drop to €449.99, while the Digital Edition will be priced at €399.99. These discounts come after recent price increases in April, where the PS5 Digital Edition rose to €499.99 in Europe, while the standard PS5 maintained its price at €549.99.
Additional deals are expected to include €50 off the PlayStation VR2 headset, reducing its price to €399.99, and select DualSense controllers available for €54.99. Sony is also reportedly preparing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 console bundles, priced at €499.99 for the disc model and €449.99 for the Digital Edition.
While these discounts have been reported for European markets, it’s currently unclear which deals will extend to other regions, including the United States. Sony is anticipated to officially announce the full list of offers on Tuesday, May 27.
