  2. Last week’s free game on the store was Dead Island 2.
  3. The Epic Games Store is currently in the midst of its Mega Sale.

The Epic Games Store unveiled Sifu as its free game starting today, May 23, until May 29, 2025. Users only need to log in to the store and claim the game to play it. Additionally, Epic Games is also offering Deliver At All Costs and Gigapocalypse for free.

Sifu is a beat ‘em up game set in China, where players control a character who seeks revenge on those responsible for their father’s death. The game has a mechanic where the protagonist gets older as they respawn from death, but their surroundings stay the same.

The game was released in 2022 and was nominated for “Best Indie Game,” “Best Action Game” and “Best Fighting Game” at The Game Awards 2022. Netflix is currently making an adaptation of the game.

Deliver At All Costs is an action-adventure game developed by Studio Far Out Games and puts players in the shoes of a struggling courier who needs to deliver cargo. The game’s environment is destructible, which enables creativity regarding how players deliver cargo in the shortest amount of time.

Gigapocalypse, meanwhile, is an indie game developed by Goody Gameworks. It’s an arcade game where players control a giant monster and destroy everything in front of it.

The Epic Games Store gives games away weekly. Last week, the free game was Dead Island 2, but there were times when heavy-hitting AAA games like Death Stranding were given away for free. The store is also in the midst of its Mega Sale, offering a number of AAA games at big discounts.
