Users can set the clock’s themes to their favorite Nintendo franchise, assuming that it’s already added. Here are the themes currently available:

  • Animal Crossing: New Horizons
  • Super Mario Bros.
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  • Super Mario Odyssey
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • Splatoon 3
  • Pikmin 4
  • Ring Fit Adventure

According to Forbes, Nintendo developed the Alarmo in partnership with the health company ResMed and is its first entry into the quality-of-life segment of technology.

Aside from being an alarm clock, it also tracks the user’s sleep automatically, provided that they’re the only person sleeping next to it. Its frequently asked questions section says that users should use Button Mode if there is more than one person nearby. The clock also plays soundscapes from Nintendo games, even having an hourly chime and sleepy sounds catered to the user’s chosen theme.
