Two now-deleted job listings for a “prestigious AAA title” in the Rayman franchise have been spotted by fans, sparking rumors that Rayman is finally being revived by Ubisoft. Previously, the studio had already mentioned that it was in the “exploration phase” of a Rayman project.

The job listings were for a 3D gameplay animator and a senior game designer. Both of them mention the Rayman brand, with the former even putting “prestigious AAA title” on its job description, confirming that the next Rayman title will be a AAA project.

On Oct. 23, 2024, Insider Gaming reported that a Rayman remake is being developed and is receiving additional development help from the team behind Prince of Persia. The outlet also said that its sources confirmed that Michel Ancel, creator of the Rayman franchise, is a consultant in the project.

This became a cause for concern for the team, as Ancel was hit with allegations of a toxic management style after leaving Ubisoft, according to a piece by Libération via Kotaku. Ancel called the piece by Libération “fake news” on Instagram.

The last main series Rayman game released was Rayman Legends for the PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Xbox 360 and PlayStation Vita. The game received “universal acclaim,” according to Metacritic.
