- Monster Hunter Wilds’ X account is teasing a collaboration between the game and Street Fighter 6.
- Street Fighter 6 has collaborated with a lot of other IPs in the past.
- Monster Hunter Wilds was released on Feb. 28, 2025.
On May 19, Monster Hunter Wilds’ X account posted a fluffy monster in Street Fighter 6’s iconic “Here comes a new challenger” frame, teasing a collaboration between the two Capcom IPs. Monster Hunter was already teasing a collaboration a day before, by posting a Palico pawprint in Street Fighter 6’s graffiti style.
“HERE COMES A NEW….CHALLENGER?” the post caption read. Monster Hunter still has not announced what kind of collaboration the two will enter. However, it’s pretty common for it to simply be avatar costumes and other cosmetics.
Street Fighter 6 has collaborated with a lot of IPs in the past. Recently, it had a collaboration with another Capcom classic, the Ace Attorney. This collaboration added a few cosmetics to the game relating to the franchise. Outside of Capcom IPs, the game has also collaborated with Spy x Family, Baki, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
In 2020, Monster Hunter World and Street Fighter V had a collaboration where Monster Hunter players could earn armor sets that would make them look like Ryu or Sakura from Street Fighter. While the teaser is for Monster Hunter Wilds putting content into Street Fighter 6, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the opposite also happened.
Monster Hunter Wilds was released on Feb. 28, 2025. Within three days of release, the game sold 8 million copies. Monster Hunter Wilds is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
