- Physint is Hideo Kojima and PlayStation’s upcoming action espionage.
- Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is Kojima production’s next release – the title launches on June 26.
In an interview with French magazine Le Film Français, Hideo Kojima said that Physinct’s release will be in around five to six years – the answer was in response to the potential production of a film. Kojima communicates that he wants to focus on Physinct, an upcoming action espionage video game, first before tackling a film.
The title was first officially announced on January 31, 2024 in a PlayStation YouTube video. The game’s director Hideo Kojima shared the new project’s existence, which will be a brand new, original IP. Physint’s production will begin in earnest after Death Stranding 2: On The Beach properly finalizes – which releases on June 26, 2025.
Not much information regarding Physint is currently readily available at this point in time.
“I cannot tell you so much now… But we plan to bring together cutting edge technology and talent from around the world to create it,” Kojima commented regarding the development status of Physint.
Per usual, Physint is marketed to be a cinematic experience driven by its narrative, cost, acting, and so forth. Hideo Kojima shared that “with this title, we hope to transcend the barriers between film and video games.”
Hideo Kojima is the founder of Kojima Productions, and serves as the game director for Death Stranding series. His work on the Metal Gear series is highly acclaimed; Kojima is widely considered a pioneer of the stealth game genre.
