Capcom revealed that it earned record profits in all profit categories for the eighth consecutive year, with over 10% operating income growth for the 10th consecutive year in consolidated earnings for the financial year ending in March 2025.

Throughout most of fiscal year 2025, Capcom reported declining revenues, but the end of the year turned out to be very successful for the company, with net sales for the financial year that spanned from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, amounting to a record of about $1.15 billion, showing an 11.3% increase compared to the previous year.

The company’s net profit increased by 11.7% to a record of approximately $327 million, while operating profit reached a sum of about $448 million for the first time in the company’s history, showing a 15.2% growth compared to the previous financial year.

Capcom highlighted Monster Hunter Wilds as the main driver of revenue growth and recognized the contribution of other games from the Monster Hunter series, as well as hits from the Resident Evil franchise, to setting records.

During the financial year, Capcom sold a record 51.87 million game copies, marking an increase of 5.98 million compared to the previous year, with 90.1% of game copies being sold digitally.

In the current financial year, ending March 31, 2026, Capcom plans to set new records and specifically aims for net sales of about $1.28 billion and a net profit of approximately $345 million. The annual game circulation is planned to reach 54 million copies sold.

It is worth noting that while in a press release, Capcom declares earned record profits in all profit categories for the eighth consecutive year, in major takeaways of FY25/3 financial summary and FY26/3 plan Japanese video game company states that it earned record profits in all profit categories for the twelveth consecutive year.
