Capcom is ready to hype players up by holding a Capcom Spotlight next week which includes the newest entry to the Onimusha series, Onimusha: Way of the Sword.

February 4 marks the very first Capcom Spotlight of 2025 and it seems like Onimusha fans are receiving their much-awaited update. According to a Twitter post by Capcom, the spotlight will contain information about Street Fighter 6, Capcom Fighting Collection 2, MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, and more importantly, Onimusha: Way of the Sword.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is the latest addition to the Onimusha franchise after a 20-year drought. It was announced back in December 2024 during the Game Awards. There wasn’t much shown in the trailer aside from what looked like gameplay snippets paired with cutscenes. The game is projected to be released in 2026.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is another unreleased game included in the Capcom Spotlight. The game was originally announced in August 2024. The fighting collection contains eight fighting games which include classics such as CAPCOM vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro and Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper. The game is slated to release this year.

After the Capcom Spotlight, a Monster Hunter Showcase will happen. Ryozo Tsujimoto, Producer of the Monster Hunter franchise, will take over for a 15-minute showcase regarding Monster Hunter Wilds. This showcase is expected to give fans a new trailer.

The February 4 Capcom Spotlight will last for 20 minutes and will start at 2 P.M. Pacific.
