Key points
  1. Dataminers found references to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 update files.
  2. Ninja Turtle themed events, game modes, and weapons were uncovered in the datamining.
  3. Activision has not confirmed or announced the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 collaboration.

Dataminers uncovered evidence suggesting a potential future collaboration between Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The dataminers, realityuk_ and HeyImAlaix, reportedly found files hinting at the sewage turtles’ arrival hidden inside Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 after the season 2 update. These files indicate the possibility of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle themed events, game modes, and melee weapon cosmetics – a pattern similar to that of the Squid Games collaboration.

The Squid Game collaboration in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 featured a battle pass with limited-time rewards, with additional content available through a premium purchase. If the leaks prove to be true, the event format will likely parallel that of the Squid Game event, requiring microtransactions to acquire the specific cosmetic rewards while handing out free rewards earnable through mission completions.

As for game modes, predicting what format the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration is difficult. The Squid Games collaboration incorporated the Korean children’s game, Red Light Green Light, into their battle royale – forcing players to stand completely still when the narrator announces, “Red Light.” Perhaps Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will have soldiers running underground, fighting Shredder, and saving New York City.

Activision has not confirmed the leaks, and there is no official news regarding the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Black Ops 6 crossover. The next officially announced collaboration for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is with Terminator, which launches February 6.
