A new final boss—also called a Nightlord—in Elden Ring Nightreign has just been revealed. These final bosses appear at the end of each run in the game, and defeating them acts as the main objective of each run.
On May 6, IGN published a video revealing Libra, Creature of Night. The Nightlord has two large eyes and pupils that resemble those of goats. It wields a staff that it uses for close combat, but it can also summon magic circles that fire projectiles.
Additionally, the Nightlord also offers a deal to the player before the start of the battle. Players can talk to it, and it will offer a variety of options that span from attack buffs to having a second chance at life, as implied by the “I want to hold death at bay” choice.
However, Mitchell Saltzman, the IGN writer, warned players that each option will have a corresponding cost, and it will not be revealed until the player makes the decision.
Late last month, a Japanese online store accidentally leaked the final two classes of the game to be Revenant and Executor. Fans have been theorizing that Executor has something to do with the parry mechanic in the game, while the Revenant’s abilities are unknown.
Elden Ring Nightreign is set to release on May 30, 2025, for the PlayStation 4 and 5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It’s a co-op roguelike game where players cooperate for three in-game days to defeat the bosses and the Nightlord at the end of the run.
