Marvel Rivals’ Season 1 Championship Kicks Off This March

Marvel Rivals kicks off its Season 1 Championship, titled Eternal Night Fall. The global event runs from March 8 to April 6, 2025, with signups having begun on January 17 and ending on March 8. 

To register for the tournament, players must be 16 years or older, and each team, also known as faction, must have at least six players. 

The international tournament will be available in the following regions: North America, Europe, and Asia. For each individual region, the prize pool stands at a total of $14,500. Here is a summary of the prize pool:

• Champion: $6,000
• Runner-Up: $3,000
• Third Place: $1,500 
• Fourth Place: $800 
• No. 5-8: $400 per faction
• No. 9-16: $200 per faction

Marvel Rivals Championship Season 1 starts with open qualifiers with a BO1 (Best of One) format, with the winning 128 factions moving directly into the double-elimination stage. 

Factions ranking No. 129-512 go to the closed qualifiers, which is a BO1 format again. The top 128 factions in the closed qualifiers join the rest of the winners in the double-elimination stage. From matches 256 to 16, the tournament will be a BO3 (Best of three) format, with the Grand Finals and Lower Bracket Finals following a BO7 (best of seven) format. All other matches, in essence matches 16 to 4, will be a BO5 (best of five) format.
