In Twitch stats, GTA V is followed by League of Legends with over 1.19 million hours viewed and competitive shooters, including Valorant, Call of Duty, and Fortnite. While Valorant pulled more than 804 million hours, Call of Duty reached a milestone of over 451 million, and Fortnite was watched more than 539 million hours.

Virtual streamers (VTubers) are experiencing an unprecedented surge in popularity, with a year-to-year growth of 200% in the UK and 57% in EMEA in 2024. In total, during the past year, Twitch audiences watched VTubers for 1.1 billion hours.

Twitch is an American video live-streaming service popular within the video game industry, including broadcasts of esports competitions. Content on the platform can be viewed either live or via video on demand. All the titles shown on Twitch’s current homepage are listed according to audience preference and include genres such as fightings and racing games, real-time strategies, and first-person shooters.

It is worth noting that Twitch is operated by Twitch Interactive, a subsidiary of Amazon. The platform generated approximately $1.8 billion in revenue in 2024, marking an 8.1% decline from the previous year. Despite its substantial user base and engagement, Twitch remains unprofitable. In 2023, it reported around $2 billion in revenue, but high operational costs, including server maintenance and content moderation, have hindered profitability.
