- GamerBee becomes the oldest fighting game player signed by a major esports organization at 46 years old.
- He is considered a fighting game legend from Taiwan, placing 5th in his very first EVO tournament.
- He has not stated which tournaments he’s going to participate in, as of writing.
On April 14, Bruce “GamerBee” Hsiang announced that he’s been signed by Taiwan’s top esports organization, Flash Wolves. This signing makes him the oldest fighting game player to join a major esports organization, with Naoto “Sako” Sako being the other one. According to him, he is just a day older than Sako. GamerBee is 46 years old.
GamerBee is a fighting game legend. Back in Street Fighter 4, he showed everyone how his signature Adon will play against international opponents at EVO 2010. He finished fifth. This was his first time attending an international tournament, and with it being the biggest annual fighting game tournament in the world, it was a spectacular run.
Throughout the lifespan of Street Fighter 4 and 5, he was seen as a very consistent player who always showed up in big tournaments and has taken down other legends such as Daigo Umehara and Justin Wong.
Recently, GamerBee isn’t the only player from the older generation of Street Fighter who is returning to the game full-time. Daigo Umehara, widely considered the greatest Street Fighter player of all time, has mentioned during his time at Red Bull Kumite 2025 that he’s going to start taking Street Fighter 6 seriously this year.
Aside from this, GamerBee hasn’t announced what tournaments he’s going to participate in. However, it’s safe to assume that he will be traveling around the world and participating in qualifiers for Capcom Cup and Esports World Cup.
